The trailer of Sameer Asha Patil's upcoming romantic comedy Darling is centred on a village belle named Babali, played by Ritika Shrotri. Babali, who is eager to tie the knot, feels that her family is not putting any effort into finding her a suitable groom. She is about to take matters into her own hands when she realizes that two young men, played by Prathamesh Parab and Nikkhhil Chavaan, are madly in love with her. The lass proceeds to take them for a ride, as both youths think Babali is in love with them.

The film appears to be a classic love triangle and it will be interesting to see how Patil, who has also written the screenplay, tweaks the formula.

Shrotri and Parab have worked together before in the adult comedy Takatak (2019). This is Chavaan's first big break in Marathi cinema.

The film features Mangesh Kadam, Aabha Velankar, Jaywant Wadkar, Amey Barve, Sunil Deo and Harsha Gupte.

Darling is being produced by Amit Dhupe, Ajay Thakur, VJ Shalaka and Nikhil Khajindar under the banner of 7 Horse Entertainment Pvt Ltd, V Patke Films and Kathakar Motion Pictures.

The film is slated to be released in theatres on 26 January 2021.
