Maniesh Paul to resume shooting for Jugjugg Jeeyo after testing negative for COVID-19

His co-stars Varun Dhawan and Neetu Singh, and the film's director Raj Mehta, had also tested positive. 

 

Earlier this month, Jugjugg Jeeyo artistes Varun Dhawan and Neetu Singh and director Raj Mehta tested positive for COVID-19. They were shooting for the project in Chandigarh. Soon after that, their co-star Maniesh Paul had also tested positive.

Dhawan and Singh resumed shooting after testing negative while Paul was still in quarantine. But on Saturday, he announced on Instagram that he had tested negative and was now ready to resume shooting. 

Paul shared a picture in orange clothes and wrote, “I am back!! Tested negative!! Yesssss!! I am in the orange of my health now. Thank you all for all the love and prayers!! Please wear a mask and be safe. P.S: I took it off just for the picture (sic).”

Soon after testing positive, Dhawan had admitted that he should have been more careful. “So please be extra careful. I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time. Thank you,” he wrote on Instagram.

Jugjugg Jeeyo also stars Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Prajakta Koli. The film is Mehta’s second after the successful Good Newwz (2019), which starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Advani. Like the 2019 movie, Jugjugg Jeeyo is also being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
