KGF Chapter 2 shoot reaches conclusion, teaser to be released on 8 January

Director Prashanth Neel on Monday said that the teaser of KGF Chapter 2 would be unveiled on 8 January 2021 at 10.18 am.

Prashanth tweeted, “A glance into the Empire. It might have taken a year longer for this, but we are coming stronger, bigger & deadlier! KGF Chapter 2 Teaser On 8 Jan at 10:18 AM on Hombale Films YouTube (sic).”

He also revealed a new poster to mark the announcement of the teaser launch.

On Sunday, the team wrapped up shooting for the VFX-heavy film's climax, and the next few months will be spent on post-production.

The KGF Chapter 2 shoot resumed after many months this August. The project marks the Southern debut of actor Sanjay Dutt, who plays the antagonist. The film also stars Raveena Tandon.

The makers recently revealed the first glimpse of Sanjay Dutt’s character, the primary antagonist Adheera, who was only hinted at in the first part.

Talking about Sanjay Dutt’s character, the film's leading man Yash told the Hindustan Times newspaper, “When we made KGF Chapter 1, we had our own inhibitions and restricted ourselves in some way. But we are going all out to make the second part. We now know people are keenly looking forward to the second part and we can deliver it without any reservations. We’ve reserved the best for chapter 2.”
