Sayali Sanjeev, Bhushan Patil, Ria Nalavade to star in romantic film Manmauji

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent shutdown of theatres for almost the entire year, 2020 has seen only a handful of Marathi films hitting the screens. Interestingly, Sayali Sanjeev starred in three of them – Daah: Ek Marmsparshi Katha, Mann Fakira and AB Aani CD. 

The actress, who already has three projects in the pipeline — Goshta Eka Paithanichi, Satarcha Salman and Jhimma — has another film on her list of upcoming films. She plays one of the leads in Manmauji along with Bhushan Patil and Ria Nalavade. 

Produced by Vinod Malgewar's Golden Gate Motion Pictures, which backed films such as Gulabjaam (2018), the film is being directed by Sheetal Shetty. The film marks the Marathi film debut of Shetty, whose Kannada film Window Seat (2020) is in the works. 

Although the subject and the plot of the film is currently being kept under wraps, the pictures shared by the makers indicate that it is a colourful love story revolving around three youngsters. 

Patil has appeared in Marathi films such as Olakh - My Identity (2015) and Bernie (2016). Nalavade has Three Legged Horse, another Marathi movie, in the pipeline.
