Actress Kangana Ranaut took a dig at her ex-beau Hrithik Roshan on Monday night even as the latter's case involving the actress was transferred from the Mumbai police's cyber crime cell to the crime intelligence unit (CIU). In 2016, Hrithik filed an FIR, alleging that he had received several hundreds of emails from Ranaut's ID in 2013 and 2014. While Ranaut denied sending the emails, Hrithik registered a case, seeking an investigation into the matter.
Decrying the transfer, Ranaut tweeted that Hrithik was bringing up the 'same old story'. In addition, the actress had alleged in 2017 that Hrithik had ''hacked into her account'' and sent those emails himself. The two actors fell out bitterly in 2017, with Hrithik filing a complaint against the actress.
His sob story starts again, so many years since our break up and his divorce but he refuses to move on, refuses to date any woman, just when I gather courage to find some hope in my personal life he starts the same drama again, @iHrithik kab tak royega ek chote se affair keliye? https://t.co/qh6pYkpsIP

In her tweet, the actress slammed Hrithik for "not moving on". Referring to their "affair", the actress wrote, "Kab tak royega ek chote se affair ke liye? (Till when will he cry over a small affair?)"
The police had been unable to establish with substantial evidence the origins of the emails, stating that they originated from the United States of America. The case has now been transferred to the CIU.
The Indian Express newspaper reported that Hrithik's lawyer, Mahesh Jethmalani, recently wrote to Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh, expressing disappointment with the lack of progress in the case.
