The first poster for The Battle Of Bhima Koregaon features a bloodied and raging Arjun Rampal standing victorious over his enemies.
The film, directed by Ramesh Thete, is based on the historic battle that took place at the village named Bhima Koregaon near Pune in 1818 between the forces of the British East India Company and the Maratha confederacy.
The makers have released a poster that captures the ferocity and tone of the film.

The battle of Bhima Koregaon was joined on the first day of 1818 between a battalion of the British East India Company and the army of Bajirao II, the peshwa (prime minister) of the Maratha confederacy.
The British force included 500 men from the oppressed Mahar community, scorned as 'untouchables' back then, who stood strong against a 20,000-strong Maratha force.
When the English eventually won the battle, the fallen soldiers were commemorated at the site with an obelisk. The battle is a key part of Dalit history and the Dalits celebrate it as one of the achievements of the community.
Honoured and proud to be a part of “The battle of bheema Koregaon” for its purpose, cast, crew and that this film has made me live in the yesteryear! ❤️
