The rest of the cast and crew is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Vijay has the Tamil film Master (2021), where he plays a college professor with a violent past, in the pipeline.
Master, which features Malavika Mohanan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Andrea Jeremiah, has been produced by Xavier Britto. It marks the maiden collaboration of Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
If everything goes as planned, the film will be released in theatres next Pongal. The makers have clarified multiple times that the film will be released in theatres, not on an OTT platform.
A couple of months ago, reports emerged that Amazon Prime was willing to offer Rs125 crore to release Master exclusively. However, they were later put to bed by the film’s executive producer Lalit.
