Rensil D’Silva returns to director's chair after six years with thriller Dial 100

The film, which stars Manoj Bajpayee, Neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar, went on the floors today.

Rensil D’Silva is back in the director's chair after a gap of six years. His next film, Dial 100, which stars Manoj Bajpayee, Neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar, went on the floors today. 

The news was shared by veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter. Sony Pictures India collaborates with Rensil D’Silva, Manoj Bajpayee, Neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar to star in suspense-thriller titled Dial 100. Directed by Rensil D'Silva. Produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Siddharth Malhotra and Sapna Malhotra. Shoot begins today (sic),” he tweeted.

Sharing his excitement, Bajpayee said on Twitter, “Excited to announce my next thriller drama Dial 100 with my extremely talented and beautiful co-stars Neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar, directed by Rensil D’Silva. The drama and suspense has made me fall in love with it already. Can't wait to begin this journey!” 

D’Silva’s last helmed Ungli (2014), which was backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. It starred Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Sanjay Dutt, Kangana Ranaut and Angad Bedi. 

D’Silva also helmed the television series 24: India from 2013 to 2016, which saw Anil Kapoor play the protagonist. The show was the Indian version of the international TV series 24.
