Last week, director Abhishek Kapoor announced his next film with Ayushmann Khurrana. The yet untitled film will see the actor play cross-functional athlete. The makers of the film have now revealed that Vaani Kapoor has been signed to act opposite Khurrana.
Speaking about her casting, Abhishek told Bombay Times newspaper supplement, “Vaani is a committed actor, and I am looking forward to working with her and Ayushmann. This is the first time they will be seen together on screen and I believe that their combo will be electrifying.”
As expected, Vaani is delighted to have bagged the film. “I have always wanted to work with Abhishek, as I am inspired by his films. This is an amazing opportunity to be a part of his vision,” she added.
She says she has always been an admirer of Khurrana. “Also, Ayushmann is one of the most talented actors of our generation and I’m thrilled about our first outing together, which is a progressive love story,” added Kapoor. She was last seen opposite Hrithik Roshan in Yash Raj Films’ War (2019).
Kapoor will also been seen in another big film with the Akshay Kumar-starrer Bell Bottom (2021). She left for the UK for the film's shoot yesterday with the rest of the cast and crew.
