Abhay 2 trailer: Kunal Kemmu's Abhay Pratap Singh is on the hunt for serial killers

The trailer for the second season of the Zee5 crime thriller series, Abhay (2020) has been released. The makers have already released teasers for Ram Kapoor and Chunky Pandey's characters in the show. 

In the trailer, Kapoor's character is seen to have hijacked a school bus full of children and asked for an unusual ransom. He asks Abhay Pratap Singh (Kunal Kemmu), an investigating officer, to find the serial killers, and in exchange, he would release one child every 12 hours. The trailer also hints at a hidden agenda behind this unusual demand. Hopefully, the series will also explore this sub-plot. 

We had caught a glimpse of Pandey's character in the character teaser, and now the trailer builds on it and reveals his twisted mind. It also introduces a female serial killer played by Bidita Bag. She is a sex worker in the series, who seems to harbour a deep hatred for men.

The first season of Abhay saw Kemmu solving some complicated cases involving serial killers. The newly-released trailer suggests that we will see the same format repeated in the second season. 

The show had also been criticised for its excessive violence, but it does not seems to have deterred the makers as the trailer for season 2 promises much of the same. 

Directed by Ken Ghosh, Abhay season 2 will stream on Zee5 from 14 August.
