Amit Sadh has a life-transforming meeting with the army chief

Actor Amit Sadh, who played an army officer in the web-series Avrodh: The Siege Within, had the opportunity to meet the chief of army staff (COAS), General MM Naravane, recently.

Describing his meeting, Sadh said in a statement, “I had the privilege of meeting the COAS. It was a life-changing, life-defining moment to be sitting across the man whose vision and knowledge saves us.” 

The actor shared a picture of his meeting with the army chief on Twitter.

Sadh said, “We spoke about my career, my passion for the armed forces and the uniform. He congratulated me and conveyed his best wishes for my series Avrodh. I also had the opportunity to discuss a few stories from the army that inspired me. The moments spent with him and the knowledge gained will be cherished for life. This is the biggest honour of my life and I’m very grateful.” 

Directed by Raj Acharya, Avrodh sees Sadh as Major Videep of the special forces. His character is brought in to lead the Indian mission after the Uri attack, where at least 17 Indian soldiers were killed in a terrorist strike.

The web-series, which is inspired from the Uri attack that took place in September 2016, spins a fictitious tale around the event and its fallout.

The show also features Darshan Kumaar, Madhurima Tuli, Anil George, Vikram Gokhale, Neeraj Kabi, Anant Mahadevan, Arif Zakaria, Pavail Gulati and Mohit Chauhan.
