Bigg Boss Telugu 4 to arrive on 6 September with Nagarjuna as host


The makers of the popular show are yet to officially reveal this season's participants.

The fourth season of popular reality show Bigg Boss Telugu will premiere on 6 September, it was announced today through a special poster. Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna will return to host the show for the second consecutive season. However, the makers of the show are yet to officially reveal this season's participants.

Earlier, there were rumours that season 4 had been called off due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.  But a recent Cinema Express report confirmed that the show would go on the floors in August.

“Bigg Boss Telugu will kick-start the proceedings by the end of July or the first week of August. There is a delay in production due to the suspension of shootings, but the show is not cancelled. We wanted to commence the shoot in June after shortlisting the contestants in May, but now, we have rescheduled it to June/July," a source from the production was quoted as saying in the report.

Earlier this month, Nagarjuna had teased fans with two pictures from the sets of the show. He wrote: ““Back on the floor with lights, camera, action. What a wow. Wow,” he tweeted. The actor had also shared the new promo of the show, 

On the career front, Nagarjuna has two projects in his kitty. In his upcoming film Wild Dog (2020, he will be seen playing an NIA officer. The film will be directed by Abishor Solomon. The actor also has a yet-untitled Telugu action-thriller with director Praveen Sattaru in the offing. The project was announced a few weeks ago.
