Remaining episodes of Abhay 2 to be released on 4 September

Zee5 had released three episodes of the second season of its crime web-series Abhay on 14 August. The OTT platform has now revealed that the remaining episodes of the season will be released on 4 September. 

In the first three episodes, Chunky Pandey, Bidita Bag and Ram Kapoor played villains. The third episode ends with a thrilling confrontation between inspector Abhay Pratap Singh (Kunal Kemmu) from the special task force, and Kapoor’s character. 

The remaining episodes of Abhay 2 will feature Indraneil Sengupta, Asha Negi, Nidhi Singh and Asheema Vardaan. 

Commenting on the response and what to expect further, Kemmu said in an official statement, “I'm so glad that people are satisfied with what we presented in season two. With the new episodes, they will get to see a new set of devious villains. It only gets better with every episode. Can’t wait to hear back from them!” 

Excited about the rest of the season, Kapoor said, “Right from the first promo to the three premiered episodes, I have been receiving great feedback from the audience and hopefully they will enjoy the second chapter as well.  Gearing up for 4 September now.”

Sengupta, who plays a cop in this season, also essays a negative character. He plays a killer who bathes in the blood of his victims and also makes his mother do the same. 

“There is no doubt that people will be both shocked and surprised after seeing a glimpse of my character in the promo. Nothing prepares you to play a role like this one. I must admit that it did give me the chills too. Abhay 2 was widely appreciated and the new episodes will set the bar higher. Mark your calendars for 4 September,” he said. 

An official note from the makers said that Vardaan plays a schizophrenic character in the show.
