Vishal Dadlani's solo, composed by Mithoon and written by Sayeed Quadri, highlights the character's pain and loss.
Khuda Haafiz title track: Vidyut Jammwal is on a mission to find his missing wife

Stranded in another country, Vidyut Jammwal’s Sameer has no option but to go rogue when no one can help him find his missing wife Nargis (Shivaleeka Oberoi). In the title track composed by Mithoon, his character embarks on a lonely quest to bring her back.
Surprisingly, Mithoon’s composition is much less impactful than it needed to be. The score and singer Vishal Dadlani’s vocals seem to be on separate levels and never quite make that emotional connection.
Sayeed Quadri’s lyrics, fortunately, point out and essentially wallow in Sameer’s pain as he searches high and low for Nargis. But the use of the title in the track gets repetitive quickly. The title track feels like it is missing out on the main emotion that a drama like the film required.
The visuals of the title track are appealing with the open vistas and bright blue seas.
Written and directed by Faruk Kabir, Khuda Haafiz will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar from 14 August.
