Rhea Chakraborty has been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning today in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Chakraborty arrived at the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) guesthouse in Santa Cruz, suburban Mumbai, where she will be questioned.
The CBI is investigating the death, allegedly by suicide, of the actor after the Supreme Court allowed it to do so earlier this month.
Chakraborty was accused of abetment of suicide and financial fraud by Rajput’s father KK Singh in a first information report (FIR) filed with the Patna police. The FIR has since been transferred to the CBI.
The actress has already been questioned by the enforcement directorate (ED) of the Union finance ministry.
Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty was questioned by the CBI yesterday. Along with the actress, Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani, domestic help Keshav Bachner, house manager Samuel Miranda and cook Neeraj Singh have also arrived at the DRDO guesthouse. They have already been questioned by the CBI a few times recently.
Rhea Chakraborty broke her silence yesterday while speaking to a couple of news channels. The actress denied all the allegations made against her and maintained that she had no role in Rajput's death.
According to the post-mortem report, Rajput ended his life on 14 June at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, by hanging.
