Kangana Ranaut is ready to take to the skies this December when her next film, Tejas (2021), will begin shooting.
The film, directed by first-timer Sarvesh Mewara, was expected to begin filming this summer. However, with the coronavirus pandemic halting all shoots abroad, Tejas never took off.
The film’s producers, RSVP Movies, made the official announcement today, sharing that the “film is our ode to the brave Air Force Pilots of India!”

The makers have also released a new still of Ranaut in character. The actress stands ready in uniform before the fighter plane as she prepares for her next mission.
Back in February, when Tejas’s first look was released, Ranaut had stated: Tejas is a film where I have the honour of playing the role of one such air force pilot that puts country before self. I hope we instil a sense of patriotism and pride in the youth of today with this film. I am looking forward to the journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie [Screwvala] on this one.
The film was due to be released in April 2021, but since it will begin filming at the end of the year, it is likely the release date will also get pushed.
