Sadak 2 song ‘Shukriya’: Jubin Nautiyal, KK belt out soulful duet on gratitude

The latest song ‘Shukriya’ from Sadak 2 (2020) finds the film’s two male stars, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt, thanking life despite enduring all the ups and downs. 

The ballad, which has been sung by Jubin Nautiyal and KK, is an uplifting number composed by Jeet Gannguli. It opens with the perspective of the young man, played by Roy Kapur, and later shifts to Dutt, who has seen quite a bit of life. Both singers have rendered the pain of the characters’ emotions in the song.

The lyrics by Rashmi Singh and Virag Mishra point to the difficulties both men have faced, but even so they thank life for teaching them those tough lessons. The song also hints at a predestined life.

The picturization shows the deep and strong bond the three main characters in the film, including Alia Bhatt, form while on a life-changing road trip to the mountains.

Sadak 2 marks the return of Mahesh Bhatt to the director’s chair. His last film was Kartoos (1999).
