Jatin Rajguru, former secretary of a number of Hindi film stars, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sunny Deol, died today in Mumbai due to cancer. He was believed to be in his early sixties.

Rajguru also handled the work of several other stars like Tabu, Bipasha Basu, Divya Bharti, Suniel Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani.

The news of Rajguru's death was shared by veteran trade analyst Atul Mohan on Twitter. He also wrote, “Jatin's office at Dakshina Park at Juhu Circle was always crowded with a variety of producers in attendance. He was easily approachable and soft-spoken. Our prayers with the family. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Basu, Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh and filmmaker Sangeeth Sivan were among those from the industry who shared their condolences on social media.

Basu, who shared a picture of Rajguru from the day of her wedding on Instagram, wrote, “Jatin ji was my first manager right in the beginning of my journey as an actor. Very soon he became my family. He was such a source of strength to me always. We had different ways of looking at things but still we always worked as a solid team together. Today I feel sometimes we all take life for granted. We think it’s for forever. Last few weeks I have been remembering him so fondly and talking about him in all my interviews too.”

RIP #jatinrajguru 🙏 Jatin ji was my first manager right in the beginning of my journey as an actor. Very soon he became my family. He was such a source of strength to me always. We had different ways of looking at things but still we always worked as a solid team together. Today I feel sometimes we all take life for granted. We think it’s for forever. Last few weeks I have been remembering him so fondly and talking about him in all my interviews too... about my growth as an actor with his constant care ... sweet funny old stories. Wish I stayed more connected instead of the rare messages to each other only on occasions. Fondly remembering this gem of a person in my life... Jatin ji you will always be remembered fondly . Thank you . RIP 🙏May god give strength to the family 🙏

Sivan went back in time to when he was making Zor (1998) as he remembered Rajguru. “He was the first secretary I met in Mumbai whilst making Zor with Sunny Deol and Sushmita Sen. Have fond memories of him,”he tweeted.
