SonyLIV has shared the first teaser of its upcoming show JL50, a mystery about a missing plane. The story revolves around an investigation into a mysterious plane crash in West Bengal, which takes place 35 years after the aircraft took off.
As the teaser begins, Abhay Deol’s character tells Pankaj Kapur about a plane being found after 35 years. Kapur's character jokes about how things work at a slow pace in India. But he is left stunned when Deol replies that the crash took place only a week ago.
We have read about planes mysteriously disappearing on the news. In fact, six years ago, a Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, disappeared on 8 January 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Many international shows and documentaries have been made on the subject of missing planes, but JL50 is probably the first Indian show about it.
The web-series, written and directed by Shailender Vyas, also features Piyush Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Rohit Basfore and Ritika Anand.
Watch the teaser below and let us know if you are keen to watch the series.
