Shooting for Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom begins in the UK

Shooting for the Akshay Kumar-starrer Bell Bottom started in the United Kingdom on Thursday 20 August. Producer Jackky Bhagnani's mother Puja Bhagnani gave the mahurat clap for the first shot of the film.

Akshay Kumar shared a short video of himself on Instagram yesterday, saying, “Lights, camera, mask on, action. Following all the new norms and filming on for Bell Bottom! It’s a difficult time but work has to go on. Need your love and luck.”

The film's team consisting of Akshay Kumar, actresses Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta, producer Jackky Bhagnani, Puja Bhagnani, and the rest of the crew had flown to the UK earlier this month with all safety measures in place.

Bell Bottom is an espionage thriller set in the early 1980s. It stars Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor while Qureshi and Dutta feature in prominent roles.

Directed by Ranjit M Tewari and written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh, the film is being produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani under the banner of Pooja Entertainment, in association with Emmay Entertainment.

Bell Bottom is slated to be released on 2 April 2021.
