The yet-untitled cross-border love story, starring Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh, is all set to resume shooting from 24 August. The film, directed by first-timer Kaashvie Nair, was 14 days away from completion when the lockdown was imposed in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment and John Abraham Entertainment.

In an official statement, Advani said, “Kaashvie, John, Bhushanji and my team have worked hard to make sure that all actors are safe and comfortable. We’ve taken them through all the safety protocols certified by the state government through the Film Producers Guild.”

Sharing the schedule of the shoot, he added, “It will be a 10-day shoot with the entire cast. After this, we will be left with a four-day schedule, which will happen after the rains, around September end. We had initially planned to film from 21 March to the beginning of April, but the lockdown hit that plan for a six.”

The film also stars veterans Neena Gupta and Kanwaljit Singh. Singh was among the many senior actors who had raised a voice against the government's resolution prohibiting actors above 65 years from working. The resolution was later quashed by the Bombay high court.

Ahead of the shoot, Kumar said, “It’s encouraging to see actors and the crew all prepped up and keen to get back to work. The safety protocols will be followed strictly on the set, and we are hoping everything goes as planned.”
