After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya, it's now the turn of Amitabh Bachchan to be discharged from Mumbai's Nanavati hospital.
The veteran actor had announced his positive test for COVID-19 on 11 July and had got admitted to the hospital. His son Abhishek was admitted the same day.
Amitabh remained in an isolation ward and was treated for mild symptoms. He returns home after testing negative and will be in quarantine at home.
The actor thanked everyone for their good wishes, including the staff at Nanavati hospital.

Meanwhile, Abhishek remains in the hospital owing to the presence of some co-morbidities. He has not tested negative yet. But he added, "I'll beat this and come back healthier! Promise."

Abhishek's wife and daugher were discharged on 27 July. His mother, the actress and parliamentarian Jaya Bachchan, was the only member of the family to test negative for COVID-19.
