Avantika Dave to be the leading lady in Secret Pocketmaar

Model Avantika Dave is set to make her acting debut with the upcoming Hindi film Secret Pocketmaar (2020). Ayush Kumar Upadhyay, the film's leading man, shared the news on Instagram.

Upadhyay also said the film's makers zeroed in on Dave as the leading lady after auditioning more than 500 candidates.

Upadhyay, who is also making his acting debut with this crime thriller, is playing a young man driven to crime by circumstances. The film is produced and directed by Akhilesh Kumar Upadhyay under his home banner Radhe Mohan Films.

Supporting the two newcomers in the lead are experienced actors like Rajpal Yadav, Mushtaq Khan, Deepak Verma and Aly Khan.

The makers had completed the first schedule of the film in March before the countrywide lockdown was imposed by the government in an attempt to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now that film and television shoots have resumed in most parts of the country, the makers of Secret Pocketmaar plan to complete the rest of the film as soon as possible.
