Sadak 2 song ‘Ishq Kamaal’: This passionate romantic number has Javed Ali’s stamp all over it

Irrespective of how their films may turn out, the music in movies made under the Vishesh Films banner is usually good, and the forthcoming Sadak 2 is no exception. The song ‘Ishq Kamaal’ from the film is a delightful love anthem.

The song has Javed Ali’s stamp all over it with the singer performing with passion. Suniljeet and Shalu Vaish have presented a fine mixture of Punjabi and Hindi in their poetry while describing the sweet pain of love. The music, by Suniljeet, does justice to the lyrics.

The song is set in the course of a road trip that the characters of Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur undertake. The last two play young lovers who are happy in their own world on the trip.

Looking at them, Dutt’s character reminisces about his own romantic moments with Pooja Bhatt’s character in Sadak (1991). Dutt's expression portrays a combination of joy and pain.

Sadak 2 marks the directorial comeback of veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. The film also stars Makrand Deshpande, Jisshu Sengupta and Gulshan Grover and will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on 28 August. Enjoy the song 'Ishq Kamaal'.
