Sunil Bohra to produce two shows for upcoming OTT platform Lollipop

Producer Sunil Bohra, of Bohra Bros, will be producing two web shows for an upcoming OTT (over-the-top) platform called Lollipop.

 “We are very happy to collaborate with the OTT and will be doing two series for them,” said Aryan Sunil Bohra of Bohra Bros. 

Bohra Bros had earlier announced web shows on Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, and Rameshwar Nath Kao, founder of India’s external intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). But they have yet to clarify if these two shows will be made for Lollipop. 

Lollipop, owned by the Mumbai-based Almighty Tech Films LLP, will be available on IOS and Android from early 2021.

According to an official statement from the company, “Lollipop proposes content that is India-centric, popular, and mass-based. In phase one, the special focus will be on Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Bengal. Phase two proposes to cover Orissa and Assam.” 

The makers also shared that the OTT platform will cater to the adult audience. "Popular entertainment, crime infotainment, erotica and sex education will be the main pillars on which the content strategy will rest. It’s a first of its kind app which will only cater to the 18-plus audience who can’t afford expensive subscription and are not satisfied with the free content available on YouTube etc.” 

The makes also revealed that they have already planned eight Hindi, two Bhojpuri and one Punjabi show for the digital platform.
