Actress Swara Bhasker has made heads turn with her portrayal of an assistant commissioner of police (ACP) in the trailer for the upcoming Hindi web-series Flesh. It is the first time she is playing a police officer.

A statement from the makers said Swara Bhasker went through extensive research and training to prepare for the role. 'Swara met real police officers who have investigated these rackets," the statement said. 'For portraying the role of a committed cop, she had to go through extensive body training. From getting physically trained to maintaining the body structure while running with trained athletes to handling different types of guns, she has tried everything to adapt the essence of a cop.'

Swara Bhasker plays ACP Radha Nautiyal in Flesh. As the title suggests, the series deals with the issue of human trafficking. Radha Nautiyal takes it upon herself to punish the culprits of this heinous crime against women.

Speaking of how fortunate she was to get a chance to play such a character, Swara said in an official statement, “ACP Radha Nautiyal’s character has always had a very stern and no-nonsense outlook towards life. To get associated with any impactful and fierce character and assignment is a dream for every passionate actor. I am glad that with Flesh I got the opportunity to experiment with a new role. I am excited that my audience will see me exploring something new and I hope they like it.”

Eros Now will start streaming the web-series Flesh from 21 August.
