Actor Shashie Vermaa, who has acted in films like Shorgul (2016) and Bala (2019), as well as the web-series Panchayat (2020), will now be seen in a significant role in the new series Flesh (2020) starring Swara Bhasker.

The actor plays the role of an assistant commissioner of police in Kolkata. "I play a cop who helps and assists Swara Bhasker's character when she reaches Kolkata. The series is about the harsh and brutal reality of human and child trafficking. It is full of action scenes and is a thriller," said Vermaa.

The trailer for the web-series sees Swara Bhasker playing a no-nonsense cop who is dead set on busting a human trafficking racket.

Vermaa added, "Most of my scenes are with Swara and it was a great experience. The best part about Swara, which I experienced as an actor, is that she always gives space to her co-actor."

Flesh is an eight-part crime drama which also features Akshay Oberoi, Vidya Malvade and Mahima Makwana.

The web-series, produced by Ridhima Lulla and Siddharth Anand, has been directed by Danish Aslam. It will stream on Eros Now from 21 August.
