On the career front, Vijay is looking forward to the release of his upcoming Tamil film Master (2020). The film will see the actor in the role of a college professor with Vijay Sethupathi playing the antagonist. Malavika Mohanan, who made her Tamil debut in Rajinikanth’s Petta, plays the leading lady.
Master was slated to hit the screens earlier this year in April. However, it got postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Produced by Xavier Britto on a lavish budget, Master recently made headlines when it was reported that the fim would be released on an OTT platform. However, the makers subsequently denied these reports and clarified that the film will only release in cinemas.
Meanwhile, Vijay will reunite with filmmaker AR Murugadoss for his next project, which is yet untitled. The duo will be joining hands for the fourth time after Thuppakki (2012), Kaththi (2014) and Sarkar (2018).
