Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt has announced that he is taking a sabbatical from work to undergo medical treatment. Dutt did not reveal what kind of treatment but assured fans there is nothing to worry.
In a statement released on social media, he said, “I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!”

Neither did Dutt reveal the problem for which he is seeking treatment nor how many days he is likely to be out of action.
On Saturday 8 August, Dutt was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital after complaining of breathlessness. A test for COVID-19 returned a negative result and the actor was kept under observation for two days and then discharged from hospital.
Dutt will next be seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 with Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is set to be released online on the Disney+ Hotstar platform on 28 August. With today’s announcement, it appears that Dutt will not be available for the promotions.
The actor was also gearing up for the release of K.G.F: Chapter 2 in October this year. Whether Dutt's break affects that film's completion and release plans is not yet known.
