Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt was discharged from hospital today after a two-day stay and returned home in the afternoon.
Dutt was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital after complaining of breathlessness on Saturday 8 August.
Though his condition was stable, he was kept under medical observation for two days. Importantly, his COVID-19 test was negative.
After being admitted to the hospital, Dutt assured his fans on Twitter that he was well. "I’m currently under medical observation and my COVID-19 report is negative," he said.

Dutt, who was last seen on the big screen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama Panipat (2019) along with Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, has a number of projects lined up. For starters, he will be seen in Sadak 2, which is scheduled to be released on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform on 28 August.
On Monday, the first look of the film's main cast was revealed through their character posters. Dutt looks intense in his poster. Dutt had starred in the original film, Sadak (1991), as well.
The actor will also be seen in K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2020), a sequel to 2018's hit K.G.F: Chapter 1, later this year. Dutt is reportedly playing a ruthless villain Adheera to Yash's Rocky in the film.
