With the members of the film industry confined to their homes, it was inevitable that they would find some creative ways to express themselves. In a surprising move, some of the biggest names in Indian cinema have come together for a short film, expressing the need and importance of staying at home. Titled Family, the film features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, Mammotty, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt.

The film revolves around Bachchan's lost glasses, which sets off a search by Dosanjh and Kapoor. Shot by each actor individually in their own homes, the film has been conceptualised and virtually directed by Prasoon Pandey.

Released by Sony Entertainment Television, the four-minute-long film stresses on the importance of staying at home amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic has led to a complete lockdown in several countries, including India, bringing any kind of outdoor shooting and production work to a halt. Many daily wage workers from the film industry are struggling financially to make ends meet. The film's earnings will be used to help fund the care of such workers.
