Actress Archana Singh Rajput, who rose to fame with the television serial, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, is set to make her debut in Telugu films with Mahaprasthanum, where she has a crucial role. The film features Tanish Alladi in the lead along with Kabir Duhan Singh, Muskaan Sethi, Shubhangi Pant, Gagan Vihari, Ravi Kale and Kancharapalem Raju in supporting roles.
Mahaprasthanum is directed by Jhony, who had earlier directed the horror-thriller Anthaku Minchi (2018). The film was scheduled to be released in April, but has been postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking about her experience of working in the film, Rajput said, "The film is a gangster drama with a lot of action. I have done two songs in this film. The first is called 'Kummu Kummu Nene Neeku Zyummu' while the second song is 'Billi Choosa'. It was really amazing sharing screen space with Kabir Duan Singh, Tanish and Muskan. Altogether, we shared great tuning and chemistry. As for the director, Jhony sir is very creative and supportive."
The actress added, "I had never done an item song before or worked in the Telugu industry. It was the first time. I had a challenging role and the unfamiliar language made it all the more difficult for me. I did lots of rehearsals prior to shooting as I didn't want to make any mistakes during the shoot. Our choreographer, Kapil Sir supported me a lot during that time."
