Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan join Genelia D'Souza, Twinkle Khanna, Riteish Deshmukh and Ganesh Venkatram in Reckitt Benckiser (RB)'s latest nationwide awareness campaign. Associated with RB's leading disinfectant brand, Lizol, the campaign hopes to create awareness about the need for keeping surfaces clean to avoid the spread of infection.
The series of public awareness videos featuring these prominent artistes focuses on the message to people asking them to stay at home, while maintaining disinfected surfaces to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus.
In a press release, Narasimhan Eswar, Senior VP and MD, South Asia, RB Hygiene, said, "Post our pledge to donate 1 million litres of Lizol and Harpic to support the frontline workers and healthcare institutions across multiple Indian states, we are now looking to educate our consumers with right information that will help them break the chain of infection."
Khan and his wife take the lead in the latest advertorials as they talk about taking the task of disinfecting home surfaces and floors seriously, and thereby prevent the risk of any infection.
Another video features Kapoor Khan as she takes on the WHO message of keeping regular use surfaces clean. Sukhleen Aneja, CMO and marketing director, RB Hygiene, South Asia said, "At this point in time, protection and precaution are key to fighting viruses. It has become extremely critical to maintain good hygiene at home by regular hand washing, disinfecting surfaces, maintaining social distancing etc. These are the only ways to help break the chain of this deadly infection."
The campaign will be run in multiple languages, including Tamil, which will feature actor Ganesh Venkatram spreading the message.
