With film shootings and releases at a standstill for the second month now on account of the countrywide lockdown to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, some stars are making a move to the digital medium.

Anushka Sharma is the latest to take to the digital medium with her collaboration with Amazon Prime Video. The actress-producer released the first teaser for an upcoming series, produced by her own company, Clean Slate Films, for the OTT platform.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Sharma wrote, "Sab badlega, samay, log aur lok [Everything will change, time, people and the world]."

The teaser begins with a voiceover describing the arrival of "worms" that have spread "terror" and turned the world into a "living hell". As the video comes on, it shows the landscape of the city cut to shreds by a man wielding a weapon.

The series has been written by Sudip Sharma and will feature a host of artistes, including Jaideep Ahlawat, Neeraj Kabi, Gul Panag and Swastika Mukherjee.

Anushka Sharma had collaborated earlier with Sudip Sharma on NH10 (2015). The as-yet-untitled web-series for Amazon Prime will be an investigative police drama. The actress will not feature in the series, which went into production in Feburary 2019, and will be part of Amazon Prime's growing slate of new Indian originals to be released in 2020.

Anushka Sharma was last seen on the big screen in Sanju (2018) and was set to begin work on the Jhulan Goswami biopic when the coronavirus pandemic struck.
