Sairat's Rinku Rajguru to make her digital debut with Hotstar's Hundred

The announcement of the series was done through a video call that the cast members shared on their Facebook feed. 

Rinku Rajguru is set to make her digital debut with Hotstar's upcoming special series, The Hundred. The series will be in the action-comedy space, marking another first for the Sairat (2016) actress. 

A statement by the actress said, "Hundred is my first-ever digital show and it has been a great working experience. This medium is on boom right now and is one of the major sources of entertainment for most of us in these trying times."

The actress was last seen in the Marathi film, Makeup (2020), which released at the beginning of the year. In her statement, the actress said, "It is a pleasure to be a part of this digital world, especially a platform like Hotstar that has such a wide reach. What drew me towards my character is that people will see a new side in each episode."

The series will see Rajguru team up with Lara Dutta Bhupathi, who will make a rare return to the digital medium since leaving the film industry. 

The cast of Hundred shared a video call on their Facebook feed, describing the challenges and excitement of working on the new project. The cast members also shared a snippet that marked the announcement of the series. Rajguru will play the role of Netra Patil on the show. 

Produced by RAT Films, the first trailer of the series is expected to be out on Tuesday.
