Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Tuesdays And Fridays may be released online, says report

The lockdown may have been extended till 3 May but there is still no clarity on when theatres will re-open. Uncertain aabout the future, many producers are contemplating a digital release for their films. 

According to a report which appeared on the news website Peepingmoon.com, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is thinking of releasing his latest film, Tuesdays And Fridays, directly on an OTT platform. 

A rom-com, Tuesdays And Fridays, will launch Anmol Thakeria Dhillon, son of actress Poonam Dhillon and Ashok Thakeria, and Jhataleka Malhotra, former Miss India International 2014. According to reports, the film also stars Zoa Morani. 

The film is about a couple, played by Anmol and Malhotra, who go on a date every Tuesday and Friday. On the remaining days of the week, they are free to date anyone else.  

Taranveer Singh, who assisted on Dharma Productions' Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) and Excel Entertainment’s Karthik Calling Karthik (2010), makes his directorial debut with this movie.

Singh is also one of the writers of the upcoming film, Quickie (2018), reported to be a teenage love story starring Darsheel Zafary.   

Meanwhile, Bhansali also has Mann Bairagi (2020) in the pipeline. The film is based on India’s prime minister Narendra Modi’s youthful days.
