Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal recently made his acting debut in the film Bamfaad (2020). Directed by Ranjan Chandel, the movie also features Southern star Shalini Pandey, best known for Arjun Reddy (2017), making her Hindu debut, and Vijay Varma. The film is now available on the digital platform Zee5.

As the son of an actor who has been impressing viewers with his various on-screen avatars for almost three decades, it is pretty obvious that Aditya keeps receiving some useful advice from the senior Rawal.

“Since both of us have an artistic background, we always talk about our work and we watch films together as I am a screenwriter and playwright as well and I always picked up things from him,” Aditya said in a statement.

Not many people would know that Aditya was one of the writers on Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat (2019).

The young man received some advice before he began shooting for Bamfaad. “Specifically before this film, he told me that as a writer I have an added advantage in terms of understanding characters [through] the intensity of the writer. So I should use my knowledge to my advantage,” said Aditya.

The actor-writer also recalled a couple of other important tips Paresh Rawal gave him. “Always observe people. Never stop observing people because you will always find something you can use, or something you can learn from them even if they are your fellow actors or people around you, because, eventually, you are going to play a human being. And the second thing was, prepare hard and before you go on set just unlearn everything so you can be spontaneous,” said Aditya.
