Suyog Gorhe dreams big as Satarcha Salman: Watch teaser

The film is Hemant Dhome’s next directorial venture after Ye Re Ye Re Paisa 2 (2019).

Suyog Gorhe’s character in director Hemant Dhome’s Satarcha Salman dreams of becoming a successful actor or 'a hero’, in typical commercial Hindi cinema lingo. As he hails from Satara, he is called Satarcha Salman, or Salman from Satara.

The protagonist does not resemble Salman Khan in any way, nor, indeed, was it the intention of the makers to cast a Salman Khan lookalike. But the lack of resemblance does not stop him from copying Salman Khan’s look as Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg (2010).

Gorhe's character is just one of those hundreds and thousands of small-town guys who dream of making it big in the make-believe world of commercial cinema. He lives a colourful life in his town, breaking into song and dance whenever he gets an opportunity.

But one day a change is wrought in his life by a car accident. What exactly is the matter of the car accident? We don’t know and it will probably be revealed only in the film.

Going by the teaser, Satarcha Salman looks like a light-hearted affair about the big dreams of an ordinary young man from Satara.

This is Hemant Dhome’s next film after Ye Re Ye Re Paisa 2 (2019), the second film in the Ye Re Ye Re Paisa franchise which was released last month. Well-known screenwriter Kshitij Patwardhan has written the lyrics of the title song which features briefly in the teaser.

Produced by Prakaash Singhee, Satarcha Salman will be released on 11 October. Watch the teaser below and let us know how keen you are to watch this film.
