Jhalki trailer: Little girl on a mission to rescue brother from child traffickers

Child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi is known the world over for his work to end child labour and child trafficking. His efforts also brought him recognition in the form of the prestigious Noble Prize for Peace in 2014, along with renowned Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai. 

Now, popular actor Boman Irani is essaying a character based on Satyarthi in the upcoming Hindi film Jhalki, directed by Brahmanand S Siingh. The trailer of the film was launched in Mumbai yesterday.

The film tells the story of a girl Jhalki (Aarti Jha) and her younger brother Babu (Goraksha Sakpal). Though dirt poor, the siblings are happy in their own world in a village in North India. But their life is turned upside down when Babu is kidnapped. Jhalki then sets off alone on a quest to find her brother. 

The trailer of Jhalki appears to be an extended version of the teaser. It gets you involved in the world of the siblings and makes you feel for their plight. The realistic feel of the situations is evident here, as it was in the teaser. Jha and Sakpal seem to have done well playing such challenging characters at such a young age. 

We also get glimpses of Irani, Sanjay Suri, Divya Dutta, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Joy Sengupta and Govind Namdev in the trailer.
