Simrrann Sabarwal makes her acting debut with Ishq My Religion

Model and dance instructor Simrrann Sabarwal stars in the Punjabi movie Ishq My Religion alongside Bobby Dhillon, Rahul Dev, Yaad Grewal, Yashpal Sharma, Dolly Minhas, Vikram Sirohiwall and others.

Written and directed by Gurdeep Dhillon, the film is about love overcoming the limits set in the name of religion. When a boy from a Sikh family falls in love with a Muslim girl, tensions abound and the differences in religion threaten to tear the lovers apart.

Speaking about the release of her debut film, Simrrann Sabarwal said, “I am super excited to be part of this film. Being a Sardarni, making my debut in a Punjabi movie was like a homecoming for me. I feel blessed to be associated with such an amazing star cast and play a character like Sahiba. I believe the movie will make its place in the hearts of the audience. Having said that, I am intrigued to see the audience’s reception towards the movie and my performance.”

The film was released on Friday 30 August, along with Saaho.
