Ayushmann Khurrana, the actor who currently has the magic touch at the box office, might finally be taking a longish holiday. Khurrana has spoken about the need to take a break following a continuous and rigorous shooting schedule over the past two years.

Speaking to the tabloid Mid-Day, Khurrana said, "I don't know how long the break will be. It could be two to three months, maybe more. All of last year and most of this year I was shooting four back-to-back films. So this past year was really tough. Now I am taking care of it and will strike a balance. I am taking time off from mid-November to be with my family."

Khurrana has also had a difficult last year on the personal front. His wife, writer Tahira Kashyap, was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent treatment.

On the work front, Khurrana is set to complete filming for Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhaan, which is scheduled for release next year, while Amar Kaushik's Bala, in which he plays the starring role, will be released on 22 November.

The Mid-Day report quoted Khurrana as saying, "I haven't signed any film after Bala. After November 15, I am free to spend time with my family. I do realize my children are growing up and my wife needs time from me. I am making a conscious attempt to take time off from work periodically."

Khurrana admitted that he will be looking at scripts even during the break: "I will be looking at scripts while I am at home. And even if I lose out on any work, it’s fine by me. There is an imperative need to take time off. It rejuvenates you."
