The ensemble cast of Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) will be having a reunion on 2 October, Gandhi Jayanti. Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi, Dilip Prabhavalkar and Boman Irani will be coming together for a YouTube original with internet stars like Bhuvan Bam, Prajakta Koli and Ashish Chanchlani.
The team of the Rajkumar Hirani film will be looking back at the project after 13 years of its release to recreate some scenes with the internet stars. The reason they will be reuniting on this date is because Lage Raho Munna Bhai advocated Mahatma Gandhi’s teaching of truth and non-violence. The idea was named ‘Gandhigiri’ in the film.
Sharing his experience of getting this opportunity, Chanchlani said in an official statement, “I was called and told that they are coming up with something exciting and you are going to be part of the recreation of Lage Raho Munna Bhai; the Gandhigiri scenes. And I was like, okay, is this happening or someone’s playing a prank on me, because I couldn’t believe it. And when I was told the scenes that would be recreated, I was like, done!”
The video of the session will be shared by the cast of the film from their respective social media handles.
