After registering a poor opening of Rs1.20 crore nett on Friday, Sunny Deol's Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas (2019) saw slight growth over the next two days but it wasn’t significant enough. Karan Deol and Sahher Bambba's launch vehicle made Rs1.55 crore nett and Rs1.85 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, according to figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
Trade sources said Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas was made on a budget of Rs25 crore. With a collection of just Rs4.60 crore nett on the opening weekend, the film is doomed.
Prassthanam, starring Sanjay Dutt, Manisha Koirala and Jackie Shroff, fared worse. After making only Rs80 lakh on Friday, the film got Rs90 lakh nett and Rs1.25 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Its total stands at Rs2.95 crore nett. With the cost of production pegged at Rs40 crore nett, it's curtains for Prassthanam as well.
Curiously, The Zoya Factor, starring Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Dulquer Salmaan, turned out to be the lowest earner of the three films. Despite the cricket story, the film did not even reach a crore on any day of the opening wekend. It opened to a mere Rs70 lakh nett on Friday and made Rs80 lakh nett each on Saturday and Sunday. Game over.
