Meanwhile, heldover Chhichhore and Dream Girl continue to rake in the moolah.

All three new releases of the week, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, The Zoya Factor and Prassthanam, fared poorly on their opening day yesterday, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.
Surprisingly, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, which marks the acting debut of Karan Deol and Sahher Bambba, was the one that had the highest opening despite the other two featuring some established artistes.
Despite the lack of big names and the film's reported budget of only around Rs25 crore, the opening of Rs1.20 crore nett is poor. Even if the film sees healthy growth in numbers on Saturday and Sunday, which is doubtful given the poor reviews and negative word-of-mouth publicity it is receiving, its chances of recovering the cost of production look bleak.
On the other hand, Prassthanam and The Zoya Factor made merely Rs75-80 lakh and Rs65-70 lakh, respectively. Prassthanam had a reported budget of around Rs40 crore while The Zoya Factor's budget is put by our trade sources at around Rs30 crore. Both films appear doomed already.
The poor performances of the new releases have helped heldover releases Chhichhore and Dream Girl to continue their merry run at the box office. Chhichhore raked in a good Rs3 crore nett on its third Friday, swelling its overall collection at the domestic box office to Rs108.59 crore.
Dream Girl, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, amassed an impressive Rs5 crore nett on its second Friday. The grand total of the film currently stands at Rs74.75 crore. Both films are likely to do well on the weekend too. Both have already been declared hits.
