Aamir Khan is currently preparing for his upcoming film Lal Singh Chaddha (2020). The film is the official remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump (1994) and will be directed by Advait Chandan, who debuted with Secret Superstar (2017) with Khan’s production house, Aamir Khan Productions.

Directed by Robert Zemeckis, Forrest Gump told the incredible story of a man with low IQ starring Tom Hanks in the titular role.

News is out that the actor will be shooting at 100 real locations across India as the script demands his character to travel to these locations.

“The actor does not believe in studio set-ups and has asked his team to scout 100 locations across the country where they can shoot,” said an official statement from Khan's publicist. “Apart from Delhi, Gujarat, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, there will also be several states where Aamir Khan will shoot for the first time. With such a chock-a-block outdoor schedule Aamir Khan will also explore the country.”

The statement also added that Aamir will be gaining 20 kilos for his role and that his character will be spanning across different age groups.

Lal Singh Chaddha is written by acclaimed actor Atul Kulkarni, Khan's co-star from iconic film Rang De Basanti (2006). Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions, the film will be releasing on Christmas 2020.
