Dinesh Vijan’s Angrezi Medium, RoohiAfza to release on 20 March and 17 April next year

Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films have revealed the release dates of their two keenly awaited films Angrezi Medium (2020) and RoohiAfza (2020). The films will hit theatres on 20 March 2020 and 17 April 2020 respectively, as shared by veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Both the films will have a solo release, at least for now.

Angrezi Medium is the second film in the series after the critically acclaimed box office hit Hindi Medium (2017), which starred Irrfan Khan, Saba Qamar, Deepak Dobriyal and Amrita Singh. Khan and Dobriyal return, as the film will star Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan. 

The biggest change for the second film is in the direction. Saket Chaudhary has given way to Homi Adjania this time. 

RoohiAfza is another horror comedy by Maddock Films after the success of Stree (2018) with the same actor Rajkummar Rao. It also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma, who is currently enjoying the success of his latest film, Chhichhore (2019). 

RoohiAfza is directed by Hardik Mehta. He has directed the short film, Skin Deep (2013), and the Gujarati documentary Amdavad Ma Famous (2015). He was the script supervisore for Road, Movie (2010), Lootera (2013), Mausam (2011), Queen (2014), and the co-writer for Trapped (2017).
