After Poshter Girl (2016), Sonalee Kulkarni is back with another film where she plays the titular character. She plays the lead in director Saurabh Verma’s quirkily titled Vicky Velingkar.
Produced by GSeams, Loki Studios and Dancing Shiva, the makers have described the film as a ‘family thriller.’ It also stars Spruha Joshi, Sangram Samel, Kettan Singh and Gaurav More.
The makers have shared the first poster of the film. Kulkarni is attired in a white tank top and blue jeans, and her body language shows her poised and ready to get into the action mode. It is rare to see an actress undertaking action in a Marathi film.
The blueprint background of some yet unknown location indicates some thrills are afoot. The actress’s face is purposely hidden which adds more intrigue. The tag line of the film - You realize the importance of time after it has passed - indicates the protagonist’s race against time.
Vicky Velingkar is Verma’s directorial debut in Marathi cinema. He has made Hindi films like Mickey Virus (2013) and 7 Hours To Go (2016) along with a few Hindi short films and television series.
Vicky Velingkar will be released on 6 December. This will be Kulkarni’s second release of the year after Ti And Ti.
