Arjun Rampal to play an investigative cop in the supernatural thriller, Anjaan

Arjun Rampal is all set to play a cop in the upcoming supernatural thriller titled Anjaan. The film is produced by Raju Chadha and Rahul Mittra, who had also produced the Rampal starrer, Daddy (2017), a biopic on the gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli.
Anjaan will see Rampal’s character investigate the murders of three young girls. “Set in breathtaking hilly locales, this edgy supernatural thriller will have Arjun Rampal essay the role of a cop investigating murders of three young girls,” said an official statement from the makers. Adding more about the film, the statement said that the film is “quirky and one that will keep the audiences on the edge.”
Speaking about Rampal’s casting, Mittra said in an official statement, “Arjun was the first choice and he said an immediate yes after listening to the script.”
Rampal was last seen on the big screen in J P Dutta’s Paltan (2018). In between, he did the television series Salute Siachen (2017) and the web-series The Final Call (2019).
Anjaan is the directorial debut for Amitendra Vats. The writer of the project, Puja Ballutia, has previously written Titoo MBA (2014) and also acted in it. Before this film, she had acted in the supernatural thriller Mallika (2010).
The film will go on floors by January 2020.
