Filmmaker Christopher Nolan is back in Mumbai to shoot portions of his next film, Tenet (2020), which also stars Indian actress Dimple Kapadia. The British director was spotted arriving at the Mumbai airport with his lead actors of Tenet, Robert Pattinson and John David Washington and cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema.

According to a report in the daily Mumbai Mirror, Nolan's cast and crew are in the city for a 10-day schedule and are expected to shoot several chase sequences. The filmmaker had come to the city in February and April this year for location recces at Colaba Causeway and the Taj Mahal Hotel.

The film has also been shot in locations in the UK, Estonia and Italy. Tenet also stars Elizabeth Debicki, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, Clemence Poesy and Himesh Patel. Kapadia has shot her portions in Estonia. It's not clear if the veteran actress will also be shooting in Mumbai.

Last April, Nolan, along with filmmaker Shivendra Singh Dungarpur and visual artist Tacita Dean, was part of a three-day event of the Film Heritage Foundation to draw attention to the importance of film preservation in the digital age.

Produced by Warner Bros Pictures, Tenet, whose plot is tightly under guard, is due to be released on 17 July 2020.
