Sarang Doshi and Madhura Vaidya to star in Rom Com

Director Gorakh Jogdande’s upcoming Marathi movie is titled Rom Com. There is no confusion about the genre of the film when the title itself declares the genre. One doesn’t see this too often.

The film will see the launch of two new faces — Sarang Doshi and Madhura Vaidya. The film also features fine and experienced artistes like Kishore Kadam and Chhaya Kadam along with Ashok Shinde, Swati Pansare and Mrudula Vaibhav. 

The makers recently released the first poster of Rom Com. It featured a silhouette image of the lead pair. Doshi and Vaidya are seen in a carefree mood on a bike voyage. One can see trees and hills in the background. This indicates that the story is probably set in a small town instead of a city. 

Over the past few years, Marathi cinema has produced a number of love stories based in small towns or villages and involving a rich girl and a not-so-rich guy. We hope Rom Com offers something different this time. 

This is Jogdande’s third film as director after Nazar (2015) and Hakka (2017).
